THOR takes on HULK in First THOR: RAGNAROK Trailer!!!

We may be less than a month away from the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe release, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but always wanting to stay one step ahead the House of Ideas give us our first look at another film set to hit cinemas this year, Thor: Ragnarok. The God of Thunder is set to explore new horizons during this third instalment, and if this trailer is anything to go by I’m sure it will be as amazing as the first two. But don’t take our word for it, check out the amazing first trailer for yourself below!

Given the fact the promotional material so far has seen the God of Thunder sporting a new haircut and wielding an axe instead of his trusty hammer, Mjolnir, it was kind of obvious that there was going to be something catastrophic heading in Thor’s direction. Heck, the title of the film is enough to give that away. What I like about this first trailer, however, is that without giving too much away it teases how these events come to pass, with the Planet Hulk like sequence at the end and cosmic feel reflecting the different tone that this story is likely to have.

But what do you think? Do you like this new direction? Or would you much rather see the God of Thunder once again smiting some Frost Giants or Dark Elves?

Sound off with your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below!

Thor: Ragnarok swings into theatres November 3, 2017. It’s directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thomas, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. there lived a nerd. And as we all know, nerds are cool. Anyway, enough of that. I’m John, your Friendly Neighborhood Managing Editor, and I’ll be doing my best to give you the best nerd content on the web. And why? Because you deserve it. Having been a comic fan and all round geek for as long as I remember, loving Batman, Star Wars and various other forms of fandom, I have certainly had my share of opinions. Naturally I eventually starting writing about this love, whether it be rant or rave, enjoying every minute in the process.
