The First STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Trailer is Here!!!

Lucasfilm has been hosting their annual Star Wars Celebration event at Orlando this weekend, and with it being A New Hope’s 40th Anniversary, you can bet this one is a little more special. Despite there having been some amazing news pieces and events for fans yesterday, it was The Last Jedi panel that has arguably garnered the most attention, with the reveal of the films’ first trailer getting us all excited for this Christmas.

As far as teaser trailers go, this was quite generous, with the two-minute plus run time being longer than most probably expected. Nevertheless the trailer did exactly what it needed to, tease, showing us more than enough to generate hype, whilst keeping most of the plot close to their chest. What captivates me most about this trailer, however, is the interaction between Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) with the ominous line at the end of the trailer leaving a lot of speculation about where the creative team are steering this franchise.

But what do you think? Are you excited for more Star Wars? Or were you not a fan of The Force Awakens?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to blast its way into cinemas December 15, 2017.

About the author

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. there lived a nerd. And as we all know, nerds are cool. Anyway, enough of that. I’m John, your Friendly Neighborhood Managing Editor, and I’ll be doing my best to give you the best nerd content on the web. And why? Because you deserve it. Having been a comic fan and all round geek for as long as I remember, loving Batman, Star Wars and various other forms of fandom, I have certainly had my share of opinions. Naturally I eventually starting writing about this love, whether it be rant or rave, enjoying every minute in the process.
