We’re little over a month away from the release of Justice League, but before these icons unite for their first live action team-up Warner Bros. want to turn up the hype. Now it’s no secret that most fans were disappointed in Batman v. Superman, with Suicide Squad being no different. But Wonder Woman rocked so I guess that the DC Extended Universe deserves a second chance. If this latest trailer is anything to go by then I am confident that this cinematic universe can finally rival it’s competition with November 17th not coming soon enough.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Much like the previous trailers there is a lot going on in this latest clip. At the centre of all this is the notion of teamwork and Batman’s resolve to fulfil his promise to Superman. During this we see the Amazons take on an army of Parademon, a world without hope, as well as some comic moments from Flash and Aquaman. The biggest takeaway comes right at the start, however, as we see the return of the Man of Steel. Granted this is nothing more than a hopeful dream of Lois’ but it still manages to bring a sense of warmth as we head into cinemas.
But what do you think? Are you excited for the Justice League to unite? Or are you still not won over by the DCEU?
